How can i tell if i am an embarrassment to my friends?
Q. How can i tell??? Im rather shy so i dont talk too much. And if i am an embarrassment what can i do to change that?
Asked by John - Sat Dec 13 16:04:40 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It's okay to be shy. If you are in a group and you don't have much to say you can always smile and nod your head. People aren't embarrassed when friends don't talk much. It's usually the other way around...some people talk too much. lol

I have to hate myself to equal out the embarrassment I feel otherwise it will consume me?
Q. The hatred I will develop for myself will be exactly the positive I need to reciprocate the embarrassment I feel about myself. I am ugly, stupid, socially weird, and fat. I am ashamed and embarrassed of who I am, how I look, how I act, and how I feel others perceive me as when they are around me. Is it okay for me to hate myself if it is actually going to be a positive influence when it is paired with the way I feel about myself?

A. Don't hate yourself. Hatred is NEVER positive and will only bring you down more, trust me, I know because I've been there. Instead, if you want to enjoy life without feeling like this, you should seek counseling for your low self esteem, whether it's from a trained counselor or from a good self help book. If you want to see a counselor you should first visit your doctor and tell them how you feel. I'm sure you're not any of those negative things you described yourself as. I know from your post that you're definitely NOT stupid, you're one of the few people on the internet who is able to use good spelling and grammar! Who is the bigger embarrassment abroad: Obama or cons/teapartiers?
Q. I think the answer is obvious. Internally it might be a draw, although I think cons/teapartiers might be the bigger embarrassment there as well.

A. Both here and abroad. What do you think goes through Europeans minds when they see cons marching with tea-bags stapled to their hats, carrying signs like "Goverment Stay Out of My Medicare"? or posters of Obama with a Hitler mustache? And my personal favorite, "Freedom from Tyranny" This is truly a wacked out bunch drunk on Rash Lymphnode's right-wing kool-aid.

How can i overcome my embarrassment of buying thongs?
Q. I want to start buying and wearing thongs, but i'm too embarrassed to go into a store and buy them. and i can't ask my mom for them 'cuz she'll just say i have plenty of underwear. basically, how can i overcome my embarrassment of being caught buying thongs???
Asked by ivytlz - Sun Dec 30 22:04:09 2007 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Its just in your head you probably feel a bit shy about getting them after you buy your first pair it will be smooth sailing. Just remember the girls behind the counter some of them wear them too. Beside they could think your buying them for someeone else doesn't necessarily means you and either way a clerk won't giggle or look a certain way they are use to unpacking them and having tons of women go up and buy them. Just be yourself and go in there and buy your things.

How to get over embarrassment from being the oldest in these lessons?
Q. I'm going to be taking swimming lessons. I know how to swim, but I want to take lessons to improve, to learn how to dive, and to become a lifeguard, eventually. I'm almost certain that I will be the oldest in the lessons I'm taking. I'm 13 years old and everyone else my age that take swimmingg are already Jr. Lifeguards. I know that it's not really anything to be ashamed of, but I am ashamed. A 13 year old that doesn't know how to dive! It's embarassing!
Asked by x0xJamx0x - Thu Nov 5 22:10:18 2009 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Well, first of all, it's not a given that you'll be the oldest in the class. Who knows, there could be other people your age! But if you ARE the oldest, you really shouldn't be embarrassed. I coach gymnastics, and there are always a couple older kids in classes with young beginners - and it's great! The younger kids really look up to the older ones, and it sets a great example; that you're never too old to learn something new! Also, the fact that you're older and more mature will probably mean that you'll progress faster than the younger ones in your group. So it won't be long before you master what you're wanting to learn, and you can move on to more advanced things. Just keep reminding yourself what your goal is, and how great… [cont.]

Who else thinks World of Warcraft is just an embarrassment to strategy games in general?
Q. Just level up get the best weapon and armor and you win. There is almost no way to stop you. Even games like Alpha Centauri, Master of Orion, and Xcom require more strategy than this. What the heck happened to these games. How could something so stupid and simple like WOW be so popular?
Asked by Gerik - Sun Dec 27 21:43:08 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. WoW is not a strategy game. It's a role playing game. RPG mechanics are different than strategy mechanics. RPG is all about leveling up. The higher the level, the more damage you can take and deal. RTS is about using strategy. Each unit is strong against other units and weak against other units. It's all about grouping units that complement each other. You want a strong land unit teaming up with a strong air unit. As an RPG game, WoW did what it's supposed to do. Higher level characters can beat lower level characters. As an RPG, it's not a good game because there's really no strategy required, but WoW isn't a strategy game.

A. Hey, nothing to be embarrassed about! Forget that rubbish. Ask a t good bike stores about what you can buy as an entry level bike and if they know of some one to teach you to ride. It is possible that someone from the store might volunteer to help you out too. Here are some sites that could also be of help. Whatever you do, learn to cycle! You will enjoy it for many years to come, it is worth the small effort.

How many of you think routine infant circumcision is a national embarrassment?
Q. Because they cut sensitive tissue from a baby's penis when the child is to young to consent. Most of the men abroad aren't circumcised. It was introduced in the late 1800s to mainstream America along with removing girl's clitorises to prevent kids from masturbating. And somehow, it's stayed.
Asked by Christine Sixteen - Tue Apr 21 13:44:53 2009 - - 19 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Yes I do, as well as the people who support it being done to a child that doesn't 100% NEED it. There is no reason to circumcised a child. I don't care what people "think" the benifits of it are. You do NOT have the right to cut up anyone's genitals but your own. I don't care who gave birth to who, it's not your place back off. I don't know if people do it for power or what but it needs to stop. I personaly believe it's a horrible thing to do to your child. It's borderlining on child abuse and that's not a statement that can be argued with. You don't have the right to make that choice for your child, you absolutly do not. You might think the benifits are worth it, but your son is the only person that can say they are worth it or not.… [cont.]

How to get over guilt and embarrassment when you have made many mistakes?
Q. If you have all day, I could tell you all the mistakes I have made. It is fair enough to say I learn from them, but other people judge me because of them. I feel so bad about myself and so humilated and guilty. How do I stop this?
Asked by Jo-Mandi - Sat Jun 23 01:29:00 2007 - - 13 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Just laugh it off. We all make mistakes and dont let anyone tell you any different. The most important thing is you learn from your mistakes. Also, dont be so eager to call what you have done a mistake, sometimes we look back and think it was the right thing to do, and for sure dont let other people put you down for making these "mistakes", they may have their own motives for trying to keep you oppressed.
